Properties of wave: Interference, Diffraction and Polarization

Properties of wave

· Interference of waves (light and sound)
· Diffraction of waves (sound and light)
· Polarization of light
· Application in polaroid

By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:
· explain the interference of waves (light and sound);
· state and explain the types of interference and illustrate them diagrammatically;
· explain the diffraction of sound and light with adequate illustration;
· explain the polarization of light and plane polarization, illustrate the phenomenon diagrammatically;
· state at least 5 applications polaroid;
· give examples of polarizers;
· state applications, importance and effect of diffraction, interference and polarization of light and sound, and differentiate between them.
